anybody tried to improve what factory did?
Juno-g keys sucks, they are laud when pressed harder,
they make noise hitting the bottom of keybed.
I'm thinking about putting something underneath the keys to amortizes the impact. Anybody did something similar?
I wonder what material to use...
ameliorate what factory did?
Re: ameliorate what factory did?
I haven't noticed this. My Juno-G doesn't sound any louder acoustically than any other keyboard I have.
I know a lot of people put the keybed down, but to me it's ok. At least it gives resistance and is not loose and spongy. Only the throw bothers me, but I can get used to it.

Re: ameliorate what factory did?
Here's a funny one. When I purchased my EPS16, the sales guy told me that the clacky keybed was a FEATURE. He told me that some people record the clack in the studio and use it to add to the sound!
Re: ameliorate what factory did?
I have problems with these clicks when playing at night...
Re: ameliorate what factory did?
I think it's part of the fact that the keyboard is plastic and so light. It must amplify the key clicks.
The sound of mine is softer than my Apple keyboard I am typing with.

Re: ameliorate what factory did?
use felt, it should amortize it.
I know, in juno-g the keys are really a bonus because you get sequencer, sound module, computer interface and audio recorder
for almost same amount of money as the new sonic cell without any keys or sequencer...

Re: ameliorate what factory did?
aron,
Funny, but my EPS16+ doesn't really clack. My DW-8000.... now THERE's a noisy keybed, and I've got one of the newer ones after they changed the keyboard assembly design. My brother's older DW was even noisier.
krakow mentions the noise being a problem at night, and I can empathize. I used to come home late from a gig with my DW and wake my poor roomate up because I wanted to play and while the keys weren't loud enough to wake the dead, they were load enough to wake him .
