I have a Fantom X, Cubase SE and SampleTank.
Cubase and Sample Tank are already on my Pc.
How do I get the Fantom to work with Sample tank 9in Cubase SE) using midi via Usb.
In other words what do the settings have to be on the fantom and/or cubase.
***I was unable to download the fantom manual, but I've searched forums, and experimented with the keyboard but can't get it to work.

Install drivers on your pc. You can find them on the Roland site.

Re: Dumbest Midi Fantom Question
Get a Mac.
I have both Macs and PCs and can't get the Fantom to work for sheet on my PC yet it works flawlessly with the Macs. Looks like I'll be installing Reason all over again!
Good luck with the drivers, anyway, and if you get them to work let me know- I'm a professional computer geek and haven't managed it (although I gave up after what must have been less than an hour).

Re: Dumbest Midi Fantom Question
Well, I don't dispute that the Mac works great, but for those of us already invested in a PC "get a Mac" isn't always the most affordable advice. Personally I had very little trouble with my PC and the Fantom (or any of my other music apps and boards for that matter...)
One snag that set me back temporarily was wireless internet. Don't know if this is a universal problem on PCs or just mine, but if I don't disable my wireless internet before loading the Fantom software, it knocks the whiz out of the Librarian and Editor programs. Since I'm never surfing the net and working with the Fantom at the same time it's never been an issue for me, and the solution is considerably cheaper than buying a brand new box.
