Updating Software...

so the only way for me to get the update is to get that card right? an if my understanding is correct, retailers don't have the card anymore? if this is the case, how does one go about getting it? i'm thinking ebay for a used one but at the same time, you only need the board to install the software and after that, you don't need it anymore? please someone shed some light cause i think the update will be VERY beneficial to my production and i would greatly appreciate it. thank you!!

You only need the update for the Fantom X series when you are going from a 1.x to a 2.x. If what you are buying has 2.x on it and it still needs an update, it would be a simple matter of just installing it on your own.
