hi perry,

My x6 has been good since dec2004 n till now no problems n pray i dont have a problems n the future....i guess it better to switch to another one especially since u cant afford to keep spending cash to fix this problem all the time...

a change in keyboard is always better....

ive been true to the roland name all the while except that my 1st 4 keyboards were casio n yamaha...professionally ive had rolands all the time......

regards,
stanley...

Keep playing till the music kills you!!!!

My nearly 3 year old X7 has had a clear bill of health after heavy use and weekly gigs.

I would not consider changing it, even if it developed a fault. I suspect you were planning a change all along and the fault has been the catalyst you were waiting for.

Working as an arranger and having been through a range of Yamaha & Korg boards, I find Roland sounds best for ensemble arrangements.

X7 All the way!!!

But you'd be disappointed with the preset strings in the Fantom X, but the SRX is stunning ! ! ! !

Fed up

See, I have always felt that the Fantom did not have the best sounds but the sounds were tolerable. They aren't bad. But the organ sounds on that come with the Fantom X6 are pretty bad in my book. I just bought an extra board that has some great sounds on it. I just think I need two keyboards.

Fed up

I had a chance to check out your sight. The music sounds pretty tight. I finally got a CD up on CDBaby called Still Amazing. It was a first. I think I've learned a little bit more about mixing and mastering since the first CD so I am looking to grow. Truthfully, I am not all that disappointed with the Fantom but the absence of a screen frustrates me and I am so busy that it'll take a major effort for me to find the time to get it fixed. Definitely can't do it this weekend. I need two keyboards.
