Which Fantom do you own?

I used to have the Fantom FA76 but now have the smaller Fantom S.
I still miss some of the sounds of the FA76.

I have the X6, and I just love it. I did own the S6, but sold it to get the X. Very similar machines, but the X just looked so amazing to me that I had to have it. Also, it had been a long time since I had bought anything new, I was still using an old Roland S-550, that I wanted to have one of the latest flagship Roland workstations, so I could benefit from OS updates. To me it ended up paying off, because I use the audio track expansion all the time. I'm deffinately a Roland fan for life... WOW! I just checked out your profile! You are a true collecter. What would you say is your favorite synth? Workstation?

I have a Fantom X8 and love it. Tried the Fantom S several times but never really liked it enough to buy it. The X finally corrected the things that concerned me and after putting everything together, I purchased one.

Fantom s. I had one in '03 and sold it a year later(kids,bills). I just bought another one last week for $575 in excellent condition. I've been on my motif es8 for over a year and still can't figure some things out. Roland make some real user friendly equiptment. I really want an X but I might as well wait and see what the next series brings. I would be willing to trade my S and my es8 for an X7 !!!!!!!!!

hi I own an x6 and I love it cause it has fantastic sounds both synth and acoustic and it has a great sequencer on board. I am also waiting for the next workstation from Roland but I will not sell this one even if I do buy it because I tend to regret selling gear after its gone and I never find one in the same condition again second hand.

I've got Fantom X6, yamaha AN1x, Novation Nova, Yamaha RM1x and I did have an Alesis Micron but I took it back cos it had a noisy volume pot and the O.S was from September 2004! Alesis are crap when it comes to customer service, just my opinion though.

I love my Yamaha AN1x though, it does sound like a prophet 5 and many more old anologe synths. But my biggest and bestest synth is my Fantom X6!

Strange little board with alot of kit, especialy when used from the fantomX, nice pc editor has ALOT for a small board.

I have an X-7 that also drives my vintage roland gear. For my needs, it was the best purchase I have made.

With the help of the members on this web site, I have the layer/split and live performance mode just about worked out. I am just getting into the wave forms. I have a fat string/brass 1980s Jupiter 8 patch on my JX-10 that I am trying to recreate on the X-7. The JX-10 patch has quite a bit of depth and moves a lot of air on my KC-350 amp. I am playing with the Fantom Jupiter-X patch and other patches of this nature to find one that is the best to modify. I have two weeks to a gig to get this worked out, since I wish to leave the vintage gear at home.

Roland Fantom X-7, Super JX (JX-10), Juno-60, MKS-20 and a whole lot of fun playing classic rock.

I also love my AN1X,it's a vastly underrated little synth.
It sounds better than most VA's from that time.

Nice to see someone else has got an AN1x. I love it, I probably play with this synth more than my Fantom X. It's great to just sit and play around for hours with all the different parameters and come up with some truly amazing soundscapes.
I have a question for you. If you use a patch in DUAL mode and turn the poly mode to mono I can still play the patch polyphonically all be it with the notes getting slightly cut off. Unfortunately I can't remeber which patch this happens on. Have you noticed this at all?
