Pads misfiring

Post by The-Shadow »

How is everyone finding the pads for sequencing drums? I find that I have to strike the pads very hard to get the drum at full velocity and even when I strike the pad, sometimes it doesn't even register or it registers at half volume.

In order to program drums, I have to use the midi-out from my MPC.

Any opinions or suggestions? I have tried experimenting with all the settings to no avail.

Peace.

When I use the pads for drums, I set the pad sensitivity to Light and also dial in a set velocity. I admit they took a little getting used to but I'd be lost without them now.

In my opinion, Roland could have chosen better default settings for these. Maybe in the next OS upgrade...

I also use the light setting. You can also set the velocity to 127 and the press the MultiVelo button to get 16 dif. velocity levels.
