I bought a 512MB DIMM but haven't installed it yet. I was wondering, how do samples stay in RAM when the unit is powered off?
I heard you can use a 1GB DIMM. Should I return my 512 and get a 1GB instead?
Thanks!
How do samples stay in RAM?
Re: How do samples stay in RAM?
strungdown,
Samples do not stay in RAM when the Fantom is powered down., just as data does not stay in RAM on a PC. You MUST save the sample to User or Card memory.

You will also need to expand the flash memory, e.g. buy a Compact Flash card and a PC card to Compact Flash adaptor.
