Roland to introduce personal assistant functionality in Fant

Post by Artemiy »

Roland Japan is building a personal assistant functionality into the future Fantom-G OS. As a prototype, they have taken one guy that they think knows the Fantom-G best, and he will appear right on your screen showing you what to do! We are beta-testing this new feature now with Dan Krisher and secret Roland agent.

As funny as this thread is, that is a great idea for a manufacturer. An on-board personal assistant powered by the web(requiring net connection, of course). The user asks a question via a built in mic, the software picks out keywords and sends the info to the web. The site then streams the correct video, showing the user how to do whatever it is that they are attempting. If the question is not known, the website makes a mental note of it and sends an email out to a tech, who can then forward it to R&D to make a new video about. Sooner or later, every question someone asks would be answered and there would never be any mystery surrounding product use.

Art, congratulations... You just invented the future of keyboard product support. :)

Hmmm . . . I think this darn thing needs a bigger screen!! Can I ask you to move over alittle, Art? Where is Dan going to fit? Maybe we can get the engineers at Roland Japan to figure out how to get the D-beam to project holographic images!!

SRA, I think you're exaggerating your size a little bit, and your nose seems like you have Georgian roots, not Japanese... weird. Scale yourself down a bit and Dan will fit nicely. BTW I heard Roland Japan is having lots of troubles with the case when we three are all switched on and have a debate in there. Or decide to have a beer for three. In the latter case, the G's master pitch starts to drift quite a bit and the output DAC starts to generate too much burps.

Art! You know how sensitive I am about the size of my nose, especially seeing as how I have to drink my beer using a straw!

Now, If you look at the comparative size of my nose in this picture of Bernice and I shopping, you will see that I am not exagerating! . . . Hey! . . . I said, look at the nose!!

Hi guys!

Dan is helping Cakewalk fix a minor bug in the new Sonar 8.5 Mind-Meld Interface. He said it had something to do with "half of the people of Los Angeles" and "turning into zombies." I not sure about the details, but it doesn't appear to be a big deal. He should be back soon. He asked me to fill-in for him.

HAHA!
How could you guys leave no room for me?
No matter. By the means of a newly developed Roland compression algorithm I managed to shrink just enough to fit there. I'm just waiting for Dan to come back and include me. Wait for me guys!

I'd rather prefer to have the possibility to read pdf help files and music files with my FG. So practical!
