Hi all.
OK, here's some more details about Winter NAMM 2009:
Three things to discuss today.
1) The reissue of the AX Synth
2) RTAS Editors
3) V-Synth 2.0
AX Synth:
This hasn't really anything to do with the Fantom-G but it's very fun. We've had a big push to reissue the legacy AX synth, so we did this year. Instead of it being just a dedicated MIDI controller, it also has a Fantom-G based sound engine, some SuperNATURAL sounds (strings and brass) and USB MIDI. All the sounds can be tweaked from an editor. Best of all, runs on batteries! Check out this demo that Sonic State shot:

RTAS Editors:
After a lot of work with Avid we are finally able to start introducing RTAS based software editors. The first is an RTAS based editor for the Sonic Cell for integration into Pro Tools. This means that more RTAS based editors will follow for our other gear. Great news for the Fantom-G.
V-Synth 2.0:
This is a big update for the V-Synth GT. Three new internal projects of sounds (version 1.0 sounds, version 2.0 sounds and separate analog patch project), new ways to copy patches, tones and samples between projects. Lots new effects and reverbs. Arpeggiation templates, Step Mod templates, expanded MIDI features, more controller assignments, a separate analog synth mode, new project management system, copying of user effects to different projects and on and on. I've posted the full specs on the update over at the V-Synth GT forum.
There's lots more stuff to report. I'll check back tomorrow.
