Change phrase destination

Post by andersn »

Hi. This is my first post, but I'm been around since I bought my G7 i may.
I have recorded a midi drum groove to a phrase ment to play an external tone generator (M3). Now I want this groove to play the internal tone generator, but cant find any command to change the output destination of the phrase. Anybodt know how to do this?

I haven't found a way either. I really miss this function almost daily.

You can go to phrase Edit > Modify (F3) > 8 Change Channels 1-16, but this one only gives you options to change the destination channels for the phrase, but no options on changing the Part Groups.

Well, we need this function also in the next relase then. I managed to make it work however by changing the midi out cabel on the M3 to thrugh and rerecord the phrase on a new track on the G7. But then I got a track that had alle destinations set to on. Thanks anyway.

Well lucky you that your original phrase was for an external source, for if it would have been an internal phrase, there would have been no way (?) to make it external.

I mean midi export doesn't work and there is no tool for changing the destination Part Group to external.

I had plans to get the ARX-01 card, but once I realized it would mean to re-record all of my MIDI drums, because I can not change the destination Part Groups from INT to EXP-1/2, I skipped the plans...

Change the output assign on the track containing that particular phrase to INT instead of PHRASE.

Wow! Thanks Audacity works! How do we do this if we want to use it on a RPS?

Yes, thanks Audacity Works. So easy, and yet so difficult to spot. Many of the fields for the track are read only, so I didn't think you could change that.
