Fantom-G open patch archive

Post by nav_ »

i just created a page to up- and download your selfmade patches. currently its just a quick'n' dirty solution, but i think it will do for the first time. plans are to integrate a rating and a search function if you're going to use it. let me hear feedback and check it out at: http://fantomg.navarin.de

Do they have to be saved in the Fantom Librarian format before uploading them?

i added a hint to the upload form. the only allowed format atm is .fge. but ill build in your wishes if your write them down ;)
i also think there will be several bugs, cause i did not have time to test it.

please let me know all your thoughts.

I think it might be best to keep it in one format.

I can't wait to give it a try.

nav: can you set the website to be able to accept .mid files? I've exported some Single patches from the Fantom-G editor. They're in .mid format. .fge files are for the purpose of entire soundbanks. That won't do for the moment.

I think that another good feature would be, besides the various sound categories you've set up, to be able to upload entire projects, with custom samples, soundsets, rhythm/RPS sets and the respective system settings, for those who might want such a convenience.

.fxl = librarian, .svq = songs, or midi files

Ok, I made the start and uploaded the first single patch: Grand Piano - by cyclops.
You may go and download it. I hope you like it. :)

Nice Piano Cyclops!

I uploaded a file too.. let's see if I did everything right..

In the editor I just did File>Export SMF>Keyboard Patch

Edit: Seems my patch went into the piano category by accident since I was in that 'folder' when I downloaded cyclops piano. Its however more of a eery flute pad with a 70s vibe...

This sounds like it will be soooo much fun!

I hope it stays around for a long while.

I will upload some things as soon as I can.

Although, I have never run the Librarian with my G yet, I am sure it won't be too difficult.
