Been on the Phone with roland for 2hrs and they said

This was a about the audio import issue ..they made me try 5000 ways that didn't work ..and said that they are working on a fix ...they said the Mac's keep making ghost files and ect..it is possible on a PC and they told me how ..but on a mac ..the ghost files are in the way ..

Up untill now they said that the Fantom x has had over 20 fixes and they are looking to have a fix done within a month ( not an exact time but I pushed for an answer..

They said they rushed the G out to meet the deadline..and even when we email them all they can do is submit the report and it is out of their hands ..they are waiting on japan or whatever.

From how drab and mis informed they sounded ...The best thing for ..a person to is wait or grab a use MV8000 or used mpc 500 ect.. untill ..of course there is always midi .. but it seems like this will take a while..a long while

Btw..I did tell them that they were lazy when it came to the horns ( brass) choir and really horrible with the Drumkits ..they just took the same drums from the X...

Outside of that and the bugs I love the board

Good Job.. I ordered My G7 From AMS and they don't have a delivery time..My guess is that I will get teh "New" OS Batch..Which is fine with me..

Roland has release the Fantom G by the deadline, but the OS not complete, and also, sound of X almost the same like G, even A.Piano from X i think it better the the new G, don' t you guys think it right?

We have not been cheated. We would have only be cheated if the G was an unusable piece of kit and it's not. It's a great machine with room for improvement and I have no doubt Roland knows that too and will provide us with updates.

But that said: the more people mention those improvements to them, the better!

1. The unfinished G is still three times better than even a SRX loaded X from my view.

All this talk about "G sounding like a X" becomes a bit tiring for someone like me who very well knows better, having both devices side by side. I really begin getting a bit impatient, because this kind of pure nonsense doesn't get better by repetition.

2. Bugs and shortcomings are never welcome. But I am GLAD they rushed the G, because only for that reason I can use this wonderful workstation every day now and don't have to wait half a year longer! To state it loud and clear: I prefer using the G in the present state ten times over waiting for a finished one any longer! If anyboday else feels other, her or she should not buy the G and wait, and that's all. Some of you don't seem aware that people like me already **use** the G all the time and some like me are extremely satisfied doing so despite the shortcomings! I would not like to miss this instrument a single day.

So I can only laugh about questions like "we all being cheat?". I am certainly not, and I never got comparably much from any workstation for that money.

Additional argument pro G:
The (Re-/Mixdown-)Sampling unit of the FaG shows a H.U.G.E. improvement over the FaX. The FaX always managed to annoy me by dulling down the sounds of the VsGT. The FaG does a perfect job here.
