Does anyone know if there is a ship date for the Fantom G as yet?

Any place claiming an earlier ship date has an alterior motive—to get your money.

I posted this in another similar thread. Don't get your hopes up, guys. Historically these ship dates are optimistic. Consider the "G" was only in rough prototype form at NAMM. Figure July/August at the earliest, and don't be surprised if it's later than that.

In other words, don't count on picking up a "G" for your summer tour.

Yes it arrives in the USA and Japan in April 2008.

In England it is announced to be on sale here mid April.

I have to agree with the other Tim on this one working as a computer reseller, manufacturers will have an ETA date and while they strive for that release don't assume that it's going to happen.

Remember they're not finished yet with the system, so if it takes time to finalize the units, I'd rather wait until they are ready and get the quality product that Roland is known for.

Also, these resellers who claim early release dates kill me, here's how they work, they take your orders, even bill your card and make you wait 5-6 months for product. Got news for you, not sure about Roland, but in the computer world, if we were to do that, the mfr will fine us or threaten to drop us as a reseller, so I would seriously worry about the legitimacy of that reseller claiming Feb as a release especially if they're taking orders now.

So it may be May, could be June, might even be August, let Roland do it right. We still have our existing toys to play with now boys and girls!

The Sam Ash local catalog says "put your order in now for April delivery".

This seems to be the consensus...
