Nice, it looks like GW-8 from distance =))
Do you use any arrangers?

Re: Studio pictures with Fantom G
I use the Roland GW8 and a Korg Pa500, check picture on page 14 of this thread, PA500 on left amd GW8 center-right
The GW8 is fun, it is primarily a Latin Based Arranger, the other styles are weak, it sounds good, the keybed is a little cheap feeling. The controls are cool and the d-beam implementation maybe better than the FG's.
The Pa500 is great all around arranger, great sounding instruments parts, pattern styles are well rounded. I really like this instrument. The touch screen control is easy to navigate. The built in speakers work for lower volumes.
Of course these do not compare to the Fantom G. Not in sound quality or features. But I still get great instant satisfaction from arranges.

I Got the E version of the GW8 and a M3-61.
I use the GW8 most as midi controller thru M3.
This was the reason I ask, it looks a little like the GW8, the Kurzweill

Re: Studio pictures with Fantom G
While the GW8 & PC361 may look similar, the PC361 is a full blown workstation not an arranger. The PC361 has better sounds and a better keybed, but then it should, it cost me twice as much as the GW8

Here is the studio i work in at the school,
Doenst look much but get some great sounds out of it
and more importantly... I have a big knob.
The G8 isnt the schools thats mine, but its safer in an alarmed building than at home (and it weighs a TONNE)

Re: Studio pictures with Fantom G
Thanks,
its not usually this clean, i have ADHD and so am a messy swine the majority of the time,
ITs a soundcraft Ghost (excellent mixer) into an alesis HD24 Adat, to a motu 2408. sounds weird i know but the boss wanted contingency.
we mainly use Cubase as a DAW, as im not keen on the pro tools, "You must use OUR soundcards" way. An nuendo is too expencive.
Thats what performing arts college status gets you though.

Nice "school"
I wish we had those in my school...
I knew that you use Cubase in the moment I saw that Steiberg Controller.
I am a big fan since cubase was on dedicated hardware (Yamaha DBX as I remember).

Re: Studio pictures with Fantom G
This is what I've built. Mostly all this gear was purchased since Feb. (everything except for the Rokit 8 Monitors and the Mixer.)
Enjoy the pics.

Re: Studio pictures with Fantom G
Great setup. the best of all worlds, Fantom G, M3 and Motif.
The M3 looks huge in this picture. I've been doing some live work using the FG & M3, they are very complimentary. Although it's hard remembering how to operate both a the same time. I would not have the clean the FG screen as often, if I'd stop touching it.
One thing I've learned is that sound quality is very subjective and dependent on application. Play live with two guitar players has different requirements than playing at home live. You find the sounds need to cut through or support the song, it's great having so many sounds (presets) at hand.
There again, great setup, enjoy!
