barrail,
That's a good one man !!! special OS for US ?
you wish !!!

I'll try to go try it this weekend...let's see the queue they have for trials...I'm just wondering...

If I go, and I manage to get my hands on it, I'll give my feedback.

Multisampling seems to be one of our favourites...anything else ?

Oh, yes...Phrase / Track Sequencing...

Let's see ;-)

take Care

True. It's not the most important thing to be first!

The true importance list is, in order of importance:

1) To be the fastest player (at least on youtube)
2) Have the most expensive gear
3) Have the loudest speakers
4) Be first to have it (on youtube)

As we see, being first is only the fourth important thingy. :D

i like to let others get the new boards and then i read about all the bugs and short commings and also the positive things and always wait a few months to purchase after a bunch of reviews are out and i have actually demoed one.

I don't wanna buy one,I wanna try one.I always wait at least a year before I get a new board,so all the bugs get sorted out.I just wanna see the thing and play it in a shop. Can't afford to buy a G at the moment even if I wanted one.
I'm still happy with my "old" Fantom S.

I confess, I'm getting ancy. I see that other GCs in the U.S. have 'em and I call a couple GC's in my local area. No luck. But man are these guys the worst bunch of B.S. ever to hit music retailing? Luckily we have a Sam Ash as well. After 2 GC calls and their typical evasive used-car dealer crap, I call Ash and the girl immediately and politely says, "oh no, they haven't shipped yet". That's why Ash will always get my business and GC never will. I don't even feel guilty for trying out a piece of gear at GC and then buying it somewhere else.

The unprofessional attitude of these guys - like everyone's some hip slacker rock musician who's immediately their buddy. Yukkk. Ash is such a better group of music retailers, IMO.

Yeah 2Tim I share your disgust and the funny thing about it is that they probably have them, they just cant sell them until May 1st unless you pre-ordered one. That is the best analogy I have heard to date, they are truly as sleazy as used car salesmen. Perfect example a GC associate tried to convince me it was a waste of time to purchase a Behringer BCF-2000 because it wouldn't work properly (bull crap!). But he went on telling me how great the Euphonix control surface would be with it (that doesn't have motorized faders) because it costs $999 versus $199 for the BCF. Do your research if you don't wanna get jerked in GC.

The $999 Euphonix controller does have motorized faders, it's easily the best DAW controller for the money, and I personally know three people whose BCF-2000s broke within three months. He was probably still a sleazeball, but at least he was telling the truth.

After putting me on hold a couple of times (more GC B.S.), the guy came back and said they had a G7 in stock, but couldn't put it on the floor. That must be the May 1 rule you're talking about. Well, that's only a week away. I guess I can wait until then. Hopefully Ash will have 'em and I can eschew GC completely. I always feel like I need a shower after visiting them.
