I have a korg karma and wondered how to change banks from program bank to combination bank. On the fantom they would be called live set and single, I have no problem controlling these banks A-F, but can't figure out how to switch from program to combination. Tried different numbers in lsb, msb, but I'm missing something or maybe it's not possible. Thanks

Thing is that everytime I power the Fantom, if I don't hold EXIT, the MIDI to ext doesn't work ... :(
Don't know why... What does this EXIT do???

Why don't you save your internal project to an usb drive or pc and do a factory reset after booting with EZxIT pressed? That should permanently do the job.

This thread explains the Exit button and procedure: http://www.rolandforums.co.uk/forums/vi ... /563/#1134

Holding the EXIT button causes a "safe boot." This loads an "empty" Project.

Sentokan, I asked you to do this as a test. Since you can transmit MIDI with the safe boot, it appears that your hardware and OS is fine. The problem should be with the Project you were using. Either the Project is corrupted or you have some settings that are inappropriate. Let's figure this out!

First, make sure your Fantom-G's OS is the latest: 1.50.

Then, do this:

1) Load the Project from which you have been unable to transmit MIDI.

2) Go to Live Mode.

3) Press F2 Utility.

4) Press F6 Initialize.

5) Choose "Default," press F8 Select and OK. (Don't worry, you are not erasing anything.)

6) Press F8 Exit.

You Fantom should now transmit on External MIDI Channel 1. Play something and let us know if it works.
