Cyclops,

New Piano! I gotta try it!
How do I put it inside my FG? How do I load it?

Thank you!

And Nav, you did a great job. Thank you for creating this archive. :)

spybar: First of all, you'll have to install the Fantom-G editor into your PC. When you open the Editor, with the Fantom-G connected with the USB cable, you select: File-> Import SMF...
Once you import it, the patch is transferred into the Fantom-G's temporary memory. You see the name of the patch on the Fantom-G's screen and you can play it on the keyboard. If you like the patch, you just hit the Write button on your Fantom-G. If not, you simply select another patch on your Fantom-G.

To export a sound you want to share with us, you select it either within the editor or with the Fantom-G's controls, then you hit: File-> Export SMF and you upload it to nav's website.

Maybe the thread should become sticky, Artemiy???
I think many of us would find it to be a very important thread to the Fantom-G section, don't you think? :)

Nice work again, nav. :)

There has been 31 one dowloads of the 1 Piano already!

Cool!

Maybe Art can take it over and make it a link on this site?

I'd hate to see it become short lived.

Thank you nav! Thanks for taking the time and effort to setup this website for all of us Fantom G users. :)

I downloaded and tried cyclops AC.Piano. Thank you for your contribution cyclops! :) I would like to contribute some custom patches when I have the time to do so. >> This will give us something to look forward to - in between the wait time for OS updates from Roland and company. ;)

>> If we have a few experts who are proficient in patch building (even Roland staff would be welcome and urged to contribute if possible); it could be a fantastic way to build upon the Fantom G presets and be another opportunity for Roland to increase awareness about the Fantom G to the general public and would also continue to build enthusiasm within the Fantom G community. :) I don't think Katsuyoshi Dan or Hidekazu Tanaka would mind if some of their staff anonymously contribute on Roland Clan once in a while would they? :) Here is your invitation anyway... ;)

Thanks again nav! Image

Nice idea, Nav ! And it works very well.
But why don't you used exactly the same name of category patch that we can find in the Fantom G ?

Good idea, plus I just uploaded a Live Set/Patch under Lead.

It seams to work fine, but maybe we should have a category for Live Sets so people would make sure to set the Fantom G to the proper mode before downloading.

Matching Fantom G categories and a seperate Live Set Category or at least a way to tag the file as Live Set.

Does this make sense?

I named my patch with - Live Set - after it anyway.

Another Suggestion...

Post by GameBeat »

Nav this is a great idea, however, it would be really really really cool if that blank space in the list on each line could be used for the uploader to add a brief description or comments about the sound. Just a few words from the patche's creator about the upload.

As this online library grows, as I am certain it will, This way will allow visitors to decide if they want to download the sound based on the creators comments instead of downloading and loading up everything to see if they like it.

For Example: Bass Synth - "A deep Moog like synth with mod wheel resonance control and a sub-tone for low end, great for 80s funk songs." and so on...

I think this would take this library to the next level for sure.

My 2 cents.

Yes, I'm agree with Gamebeat.

MadaHorn is wright too, a Live Set category should be great.
... and why not Rythm Set too ?
