Re: Roland Aira
It's simply a name and logo that roland registred.
It says
"Effects processors; sound modules for reproducing and creating sound; voice effectors
Electronic sound effectors for musical instruments; electronic musical instruments, namely, music synthesizers, rhythm machines, and bass machines"
So this must be an indication of what's coming on NAMM.

Ah, ok, I see ...
So maybe we will get - let me dream - a successor of the Fantom, a workstation with the Name Aira,
let's say: "Aira 07" with a lot of Super Natural Sound possibilities and a lot of knobs and sliders ... and so on ...

Re: Roland Aira
Of course it's impossible to get anywhere near understanding what this will actually be until it's officially announced, but from the wording of that my imagination goes the direction of guitar products. Sounds a lot to me like a VG-99 + GR 55 with a drum machine and loop station built in?
If that happened...well I might be very tempted to buy one. Of course it would be hard to replace a VG-88, GI-20, and Integra 7 lol!

Re: Roland Aira
Seriously, I heard that Aira is the new brand name for what EDIROL used to be. So, being optimistic, it COULD mean there might be new sound modules like the 'sound canvas' models.

Re: Roland Aira
With a name like 'Aira', I would suggest that part of the focus would be on wireless communication between instruments and software, both for effects processing and recording, much like what they started with the Integra 7 and the IPad . . .

Re: Roland Aira
I like the design and I wonder if the VT3 is Roland's transformation of the VT1 from Boss.
