Problem with Live Mode, how do I use Live Mode and song mode

If I'm working on a song in Studio Mode, and I switch to Live Mode and choose a live set from the list my studio set gets reset or something, and I lose all my parts and patches in studio mode. Do I have to save my studio set before I switch to live mode? Also, How do I incorporate the 8 parts in Live Mode into song mode??

You cannot use both a studio set and a live set with a song. You need to stick to one set, and save it. If you need more than 8 parts for the song, you're better off with studio mode.

If you want to use a preset live set with a song you've already started working on in studio mode, you'll need to copy the live set's patches, levels, part view settings, and chorus/reverb settings manually to the studio set.

Export the song as an SMF then import the song into new project and match up with corresponding studio set.

Only works with midi of course.. If your using audio forget this method

Gosh what an hasstle hey. I have a Mo8 also and its so easy just copy it over etc.

Yep, even my ancient Roland gear with floppies could copy songs between disks (albeit with a lot of swapping).

I'm fully moaned out tho mate, find someone who bought it recently to cry with, I've written the book on that subject in the past

I've been messing around with it but like that other guy said earlier... I guess the way to do it is copy all the patches, effects settings and routings to studio mode that are in the tracks in Live Mode, then you can add patches from the studio set to the live set that you recorded into the song. Only thing if i switch from studio to live mode and go back I lose my previous studio settings, you can easily press a wrong button or something. I dunno but yea fantom G is awesome, i love this message board.
