Like I said, make sure you are importing 16-bit, 44kHz WAV or AIFF files. These are the only audio files you can import to the Fantom G. Any other audio file type will give you a error message.

i know for sure they are wav files. It was kit i downloaded.you ever heard of the guy vybe who makes beats?? i tried to load his kit into the fantom but instead of loading the full kit it only loads like 5 or 6 sounds. i know for sure the kit comes with kicks snars and just drum sounds nothing extra.but it will not load all the sounds,,

Without going through each sample, it's hard to say what all you might have there. If it's not a commercial kit, it could quite possibly include a variety of files. However, most hardware samplers expect 44.1k/16-bit files - maybe said producer was just using his DAW.

On the sound you're hearing after converting(truncating) to 16-bit, yes, it's likely you can get some distortion from the process. The short answer to that is called Dither.

Good luck sorting the samples, you might have to go through them with an audio editor and see what's going on.

double posts are one way to get your count up... ;)

Fantom has a lot going on so no surprise you're still sorting it out, but it might be easier if you make a new thread for that rendering question. IIRC it's pretty simple, hopefully you have upgraded RAM memory and a USB stick already.
