can't save smf on g8

When I try to save an SMF from the g8 I get Copyright Projected!
Have to exit

What did I miss?

did you create a new song, or did you import an existing midi file ?

It was a new song new tracks, all four of them.
I did use one of tthe rhythm phrases as a click.
I was only trying to save a single track.

Sorry don't know ! , I don't use these phrases.

Sometime wshen you import a MIDI file there is a copyright activated, you can deactivted with i.E. cakewalk.

If you used one of the phrases from a demo song , they are copy protected I think, which seems pretty mean.

In case anyone's intersted.

So I had a song 4 tracks of my own ONE f8 rhythm track.
When I tried to save the SMF from the song screen I got the copy right protected message.

But I WAS able to save the SMF files using the phrase edit util.

Did anyone mention this?!!!! copt right thingy.
one word.... that is just POOPY!!!. there I said it.
Shame on you Roland. at least you could have told someone.
