did you create a new song, or did you import an existing midi file ?
Re: can't save smf on g8
It was a new song new tracks, all four of them.
I did use one of tthe rhythm phrases as a click.
I was only trying to save a single track.

Sometime wshen you import a MIDI file there is a copyright activated, you can deactivted with i.E. cakewalk.

If you used one of the phrases from a demo song , they are copy protected I think, which seems pretty mean.
Re: can't save smf on g8
In case anyone's intersted.
So I had a song 4 tracks of my own ONE f8 rhythm track.
When I tried to save the SMF from the song screen I got the copy right protected message.
But I WAS able to save the SMF files using the phrase edit util.
Did anyone mention this?!!!! copt right thingy.
one word.... that is just POOPY!!!. there I said it.
Shame on you Roland. at least you could have told someone.
