Dan Krisher from Roland US joins Roland Clan

Post by Artemiy »

Dan Krisher, product specialist with Roland US, has informed us that he wishes to start participating in the Fantom-G forum on behalf of Roland US. Now, we do have Mike Acosta and Jim Stout visiting the Clan once in a while, but Dan wrote that he'll do his best to check in every day, offering insight into the Fantom-G workstations and hopefully helping to dispel some of the confusion that arises quite often.

Many of you may know Dan Krisher from his great tutorial videos on YouTube as well as the Roland US website. He is a musician and audio professional with over fifteen years experience in music, video and film music production. Dan joined Roland Corporation U.S. in 1998, and in his spare time, he continues to perform and explore advanced recording and audio technology.

We are sure that it will be quite a pivotal event to many Roland users which felt "disconnected" from the company that builds their synths. Let's welcome Dan at Roland Clan, world's biggest and most friendly Roland community!

P.S. Someone will have to explain him everything about DOES BEERS, self-inflatable sheep and girl dinosaurs...

Dan knows his stuff and above all he is a great guy! I met him and exchanged some ideas at the NYC Remix Hotel. I am sure this will improve Clan's quality. It will also open a direct conversation between end users and Roland to see what concerns the users are having.

Dan himself has first hand experience, as he mentioned to me, in using creative work arounds (using RPS for changing effects.. etc) for some basic features musicians look for in a workstation.

A very big welcome to Dan on joining the clan.

Finally our requests about becoming the forum more official (sort of...) have been heard...
Now I think we should all use some moderation and keep focused in improving the usability of the workstation, either with workarounds or possible bug/requests, instead of all the whining. Probably Dan will have a short time for it... so keep focused.

Welcome Dan

PS: Hum... no one ever explained me about "DOES BEERS, self-inflatable sheep and girl dinosaurs" :(
I think there should be a section in the FAQ

Welcome Dan!
Thank you so much for joining.

For you and everyone who haven't tryed yet, the DOES BEERS starts HERE

Self inflatable sheep were created HERE

Girl Dinosaur were baked HERE

That pretty much sums it all ;-)

I hope everyone here can enjoy Dan and the other Roland representatives presence here. I believe we all will gain with it.

On a side note I also think we should congratulate one more time Artemiy for this. It's great how this Forum has come a point were Roland staff feels usefull to come here and not "the other way around" :-)

Hi Dan, I guess

As a professional "LURKER" and too few poster
Uh.. Does Dan really know what he's getting himself into?
This can be sort of a rough house.

Don't get me wrong I think it's great. I was beginning to wonder if ROLAND was just a mythical beast that I paid all my tribute (CASH) to... Now even my cakewalk money goes to Roland. I guess you can have your cake and eat it to/also.

anyway Welcome Dan and Good luck.

songwrting is like a spitwad ya gotta keep making them till something sticks.....

Welcome Dan! One Multiple Choice Question 4 U!

Post by GameBeat »

Dan welcome to the best Roland forum on the planet. I have really enjoyed your YouTube vids and appreciate the time you've taken to make them, very helpful stuff!

I know you will have to carefully temper your replies in terms of frequency and the amount of information you are able to share. But I just HAVE to ask the following question, and so you won't feel pressued to share confidential information I will pose my question in the form of a multiple choice question. :)

How much longer will Fantom-G users have to wait before a major update arrives?

A) You will have a great Halloween in the Trick or Treat bag

B) After you pig out on Turkey this Thanksgiving, you will head straight for your studio.

C) Santa will be bringing extra goodies on his sleigh

D) Your New Years Eve celebration will include some extra bubbly.

E) It will be spring before you can truly be happy

F) Summer 09, might be the time

G) I have no freaking idea!

H) I know but you can't even give us a hint because I'd like to keep my job at Roland? :)

A? B? C? D? E? F? G? or H?

Give us a twinkle of hope Dan!!!!
