GX sound expansion
GX sound expansion
I was about to order it but then decided to ask if anyone already ordered/listened the expansions- are they any good? Is it safe to order via online order form provided? What happens after payment made- is it takes you to download page? Thank you.
Re: GX sound expansion
I asked Art for putting just few these sound for downloading (checking quality). First he agreed but later refused...

Re: GX sound expansion
Believe me, those sounds are top notch!
I checked them through our PA system and they sound just great!!

Did you listen to the sound demos? Was there something that you are not sure about?
Also, as for the order process, yes, after you enter your credit card or PayPal data, you immediately get the download links right on the site. In addition, later on if you ever loose the files, you can e-mail me for those links again.

Not true - please show me my post where I said I won't post the demo sounds. I promised posting part of GX sounds for free, and I will do it soon as GX Atmospheres takes a bolder shape.First he agreed but later refused
Re: GX sound expansion
Yes. You're right. Sorry, my bad...
Re: GX sound expansion
alpha_C, do not worry, it's just all takes time for me!
Re: GX sound expansion
I preordered the whole GX series and I'm very happy with them, good presets and even better starting points for creating your own sounds.
I must mention that I earlier bought Artemiys Fantom X tweakbook, even if I didn't have a Fantom X (Let's hope a Fantom G version of the tweakbook appears at some point), and based on the book I instantly got an good insight into how the sounds in the GX series were made and what, where and how I could go dive in and tweak easily.
The GX serie is more on the trance/dance side of the palette than on a hiphop/dancehall side. The sounds are clean and powerful, not dirty and gritty.

Re: GX sound expansion
Are all these patches (apart from drums of course) based on internal waves ?
Re: GX sound expansion
alpha_C, yes, Bass, Synth, and future Atmospheres all use internal waveforms for sound synthesis. Drums and one other future library (I call it Neosynth for now) use only their own samples.
Re: GX sound expansion
hmm it sounds interesting, what about PlanetV Art ? Are you planning convert it for FG as well ?
Re: GX sound expansion
Yes, that's what I am working on
However, it will not just include the reworked instruments from Planet V, but also new sounds I am making with the V-Synth and with other cool synths as well. There will be a new GX Mega Pack when that one is out (hopefully by the end of August), with upgrade discounts for those who have the GX Pack or single libraries.

Re: GX sound expansion
Any chance of getting a series of acoustic expansion sounds Art? Like AC Guitar, Sax, Woodwind, Clavinet, uh...cough.. cough.. with maybe Brass and B3 Organs/w ('good' Leslie Sim) too?
If you are not able to do it, is there any other third party expansion libraries available on the internet from companies or individuals who do or will be available possibly in the near future? By the way, I may eventually get your GX sound expansion series but my main interest at the moment is in the area of acoustic sounds.
PS: Have you heard any word from Roland about the possibility of Roland offering any acoustic sounds for the Fantom G? Or possibly any word on any other ARX cards in the works? >> You are our closest link to big brother Roland and company, and you have more pull and persuasion to extract information from them than we do apparently.
Besides us making a telephone call to Roland ourselves. But when you call them they NEVER divulge ANY info WHATSOEVER regarding things they are working on so I was hoping you had an inside connection with them as a go between of sorts and could possibly spill the beans in that regard??
If not,
- then could you just answer the question from the second paragraph of my post?
Thanks Artemiy.

If not,

Re: GX sound expansion

Electric guitar/bass and acoustic sounds are planned, but I am currently investigating how this can be done. I think guitar/bass is easiest and I will go for it. I am also thinking whether the organic vocal, choir and woodwind sounds would go together with synth sounds into one GX library or I'd rather make two each with more sounds. The future will tell. It's also a problem to make many libraries since I get exhausted working with one type of gear.
Regarding third-party libraries, I do not know of anyone who has something in the works, but I assume they will come up in a while.
As of future ARX cards - no info, and I wouldn't tell anyway
