Opening the bug list
Opening the bug list
I am referring to a G7 with OS version 1.02
I will only regard problems as bugs as soon as other G owners confirm them. If 2 don't have the problem I have, the reason has to be checked as well as if 2 have a problem I haven't. We must find out if G's in different conditions are out or not.
Quinxx, I propose we keep the shortcomings and the bugs in different threads...
Bug #1 here
In song mode the horizontal slider and the horizontal arrows don't work (vertical do).
Workaround: click with mouse at the end of tracks in the window to move forward. No ideal workaround.

Re: Opening the bug list
I did not noticed any bugs yet! probably because i was busy testing for older bugs at the time
I no longer have the G right now its gone back to the store.
But i may have it pertinently by end or after next week.

Re: Opening the bug list
When ARX boards aren't installed pressing on the coresponding buttons make the G buging. You need to power off and on.
Re: Opening the bug list
barrail, culd you check if your sliders work (for example slider 1 for cutoff frequency) while recording (other thread, but I get no answer over there)?

Re: Opening the bug list
Funny my G6 when going to the System Info screen says I have System Version1.03 but still appears to be unfinished at this point.
Bug:
1. In Live mode when you hit F4 Control the options for F1 and F2 both say Group/Up when they should say Group/Up and Group/Down. It looks like it was probably just a paste-o and not really a problem but I noticed it.

Re: Opening the bug list
ok. so a begin asking anyone coming my way:
synthecia, could you check above bug (sliders in rec mode).
Seems I got a slightly older OS version in fact.
Hope they put at least online what they have to get me the present state.

Re: Opening the bug list
Tried it, same results as you, posted in your other thread.
Re: Opening the bug list
So here is my updated bug list so far:
1. no smf export (bug, since mentioned as function in the manual)
2. Total failure of sliders and knobs in any REC mode, thus no automation of values with these possible
3. Horizontal slider and arrows in song mode window not working (vertcal ones work)
Makes 3, two of them really fat.
Hi Quinnx, that nearly sounds like Legolas and Gimli counting Orcs: I got the advantage of the longer reach (G earlier here), but as I know you, your account will cover up fast, as soon as you got your "axe" in close battle
)
What I want to say: let's take the bug hunting with a rest of humor left after grumbling, ok?

Jimknopf,
I confirm your 3 points.
I confirm your 3 points.
Re: Opening the bug list
My G8 says v1.02
I confirm the Group/Up Group/Up for F1 and F2 in Live mode when pressing F4.
I confirm the Group/Up Group/Up for F1 and F2 in Live mode when pressing F4.
Re: Opening the bug list
I found what I think is a bug when playing patches in legato mono mode. Heres how to reproduce:
load up 1113:SAW Ld1,
drag your finger across the hwole keyboard up (like a sweep).
You will notice that the notes get stuck on some places.
I hope it is not just my keyboard that does this =(

Re: Opening the bug list
I have not checked it, but what should midi output in single mode be good for? I want separate control for the internal and external sounds anyway.
Live Mode is the proper mode for master keyboard functions, and I think we are all not yet acquaited to Live Mode as the new basic mode for operating with all relevant functions. Live mode will replace or old single mode completely, and single mode will be kind of downgraded to what waves are now: just a choice mode from the sound palette, not a real playing mode.
In Live mode you will have the options to
- make one fine instrument, either like the stereo Grand, or with more than 4 waveforms and different further choices for sound shaping
- make a 'small performance' set of let's say two split layers
- layer orchstral or synth sounds
etc etc ...
Live mode is my new standard mode, while single mode is just for browsing patches. With 512 Live sets per project we should get by. So even if patch mode has no external midi, that would be no bug for me at all.
