G Troubles (sort of)

Post by Bartology »

Just made the 1st G-track (awesome one, I might add).
Resampled the song and stored the samlple internally.
But what I want is the d*** sample stored to my USB stick. HOW?? I can't find it. I can't find it in the manual either.
Well... I stored the song and the sample and tried to make a Project (I thought: " I can save Projects to USB and maybe a sample can be loaded into a Project.") WRONG... as soon as I created a project, I lost my (stored!!) sample, my song, my favorite settings etc... It looks like a factory reset... OMG!!! What did I do wrong.

I have the following questions:

1. can I (and how can I) save a sample to USB stick?
2. why are all my settings f***ing gone after I created a Project?
3. do I have to use USB storage mode or is that particular setting for G to PC only?

Bottom line, I can't let you hear my new (and 1st song) :(

When you create a new project, you are starting everything over. To save your setting, recording etc.... you must save them in the current project first.

Does that mean that EVERYTHING is empty again? Even stored stuff is lost?

So a new project means: (more or less) Factory Reset?

The manual shows what it stored in a project. Those things stored in a project would be erased if you created a new project.

You can save projects, and load them. You would not want to create a new project without saving the old one.

If you are just working on a few songs, I would not create a new project for them.

One nice thing about a project and sampling, is that you only have to load samples for that project.

There may be a way to transfer stuff from project to project, I don't know.

Can you "save as" and then modify the same Project from there?
