Question for all you G experts!

Post by deveshmody »

This is for the experts who may have 'demoed' the G....If I "upgrade" to the G, will all my files from the X transfer over overseamlessly? Wil they sound the same? Are all sounds from X available on G (and more?)

Thanks.

The patches will not be in the same order for one.

It is also a different patch list.

deveshmody:

Roland did not yet publish any information on this.

I would like to ask you to stop posting this kind of jokes. This gives misinformation to people who take you seriously.

So is it confirmed tha the patches will not be in the same order?

So my sequencer file will have to be adjusted to sound like it does on X right?

How about the effects ?

I assume that more generic controls ( such as CC changes) will transfer over since these are quite standard right?

Thanks in advance

cuborg...If you "really" think that, you should discuss it in a thread with the appropriate subject.

cuborg, I am not ever making bets, especially with people who don't seem to even know what they are saying. Have you had a chance to listen to the Fantom-G, see what kind of a sound library it has onboard and how it sounds? If not, what are you talking about?

You have posted your hypothetic "opinion" many times already - that is just enough. No more rubbish please, it doesn't add any respect to you, my friend.

If I can give you my opinion on the Fantom G I think that it has a very good sound, I like it very much, so cuborg I don't know why you have to tell these bullshit.

i do agree with cuborg to an extent that some of the performance demos i've heard sound EXACTLY like my juno-g, not even a bit different. but that's just performance. the power of the fantom-g would be to have more performance patches retain the integrity when playing a song due to more effects.

like i said, i have a juno-g (which sounds great) and the fantom-g electronic music demos have a juno-g / sonic cell character.

agree artemio?

honestly I don't give a damn about any respect from you all fanatic kids...

FYI I heard fantom G playing personally up and close, and the sound is not far from juno-g and there is nothing you can do about it.
