Thanks, very nice to see this!

Not that we can judge the quality of the sounds in any way ;-) but my curiosity is satisfied for a while.

I received my kit today. I'm quite impressed! I'm very happy to see that the loops (my biggest complaint about the pianos that ship with the RD700GX) are gone now. They are replaced by modeling, sounding rather natural. I'm not sure if they hold up against fully loopless sampled pianos though but its surely a big improvement.

The standard SuperNATURAL Grand Piano has much more bass now, compared to the original pianos which was an apparent downside of the existing presets.

I have to get used to the enhanced expressiveness though, its possible to play mellow and bright with the same preset (kind of a mix between the Expressive Grand and the Ultimate Grand in terms of expressiveness) and one easily plays a note louder than intended. On the other hand, the Mellow Piano preset is a bit too mellow to my taste to fill in the gap. I really like the Upright Piano preset, it has a lot of character.

Hey sandord, I wanted to know what kind of customizing you can do in the piano designer mode, if that still exists, I hope :/ Also I too ordered mine from Sweetwater and they finally stopped the games and just said that Roland plans on shipping these babies in early March.

@bobmusic: I think I will make a few recordings this evening (GMT-1) and post them. The OS upgrade added a new demo song for the SuperNATURAL piano so I'll record that and perhaps some single notes in addition so you can hear the decay.

@madAhorn/@deswind: I live in the Netherlands so I don't know about the US but here I think I'm one of the first to receive one (what an honor :-) ).

@KPro81: As far as I can tell, the customization options are exactly the same as those available for the stock piano presets.

I've got the kit a week now (Netherlands) and I 'll share my first impressions:
I use my RD 700 solo and in combination with an KORG PA500 for using arrangements.(styles played on the KORG, voice on the RD 700 GX).
Playing solo: More expressiveniss, more delicate to play, more uppertones (singing of the seprate tone). Quite a diifferent paino sound related to the excisting sounds. I like it, solo it's an improvemant.
In combination with the arranger (playing styles) The new sounds are not better in getting through with a "band" playing on the arranger. So if somebody is mainly playing in an band I'm not sure if you need it.
For me is an improvement, I dont regret bying it. I've paid Euro 329,-
