Hi,
I love my sonic cell esp. the Piano sound but my Korg M3 is lack of Vel. curve setting.
Anyone can suggest me one 88 key hammer action controller for me ?
Thanks a lot

which 88 key hammer action for Sonic Cell?
Re: which 88 key hammer action for Sonic Cell?
How about a Fantom G8- hahahaha
Re: which 88 key hammer action for Sonic Cell?
LOL, was going to offer an exchange for an X8 or G8 too
)) Seriously though, weighted keys controllers are very expensive, so expensive that they makes little sense to buy as a keyboard for a sound module.

cowby, by the way there ARE several choices of velocity curves in Korg M3, maybe you just haven't found them.
Re: which 88 key hammer action for Sonic Cell?
One note- when in performance mode, you can choose 1 of 4 velocity curves. See page 62 regarding VC settings.
I was unable to find any patch or global velocity curve controls on the Sonic Cell.

Cowby,
Did you ever get an 88 key hammer action? Author and Sonar wiz Scott Garrigus has two keyboards in his Sonar setup, a PCR-800 as synth board controller, and the CMX VX3 for hammer action. (Ref: Sonar 7 Power! book.) Don't know if that helps.
I am buying the PCR-800 for starters and holding off on G8 for now. Sold my X7 and about to buy either the SonicCell or Fantom XR. Maybe the latter as all SRX cards are going cheap here.

Update: Bought the XR.

I played the Studiologic SL-990XP, and thought it had a fantastic, responsive action. There are not a lot of onboard controls however. At $349, it can't be beat for pure feel.

If you'd like to have a not-too-expensive master keyboard, I recommend you buy one of the cheaper stage pianos instead of a dedicated master keyboard (such as the Studiologic keyboards). I think the Casio Privia keyboards are by far the best in this price range.
