synching the arpeggio

hi

i use a boss dr 5 to sequence my sh 201, but i cant get the arpeggio to to the timing of the DR 5, i have set the the time source on the sh 201 to midi, and it doesnt work.

any ideas?

are you sure the Dr5 is sending midi clock ?

i dont know, but i think thats the problem, any ideas of how to test if it is? or make it send midi clock?

you need to check the sync setting on the DR-5 is set to INT and not MIDI.
If it is set to MIDI an external midi device will control the DR-5.
See how you go
Its all in the manual

And make sure you have set the sh-201 to midi
cancel & tap , bank b number 3, i think
Check your midi cable is connected correctly

If there is no midi clock the appregiator wont work on the sh-201 if it set to midi

ive did all that at the time, and it still didint work, the sh 201 respeonds find to sequences eing sent from the dr5, but the arpeggio, when clock source is set to midi, doesnt respond :S

i guess it must be the DR5 but ive been thru all the menues and i cant see any reason why it wont trigger the arpeggio
