Is this DR-880 really backing up?

I followed the instructions for windows and the USB backup process and all went well.
I did notice though, that the file sizes were exactly the same despite my having done several songs and user patterns since last backup.
Shouldn't the files be getting bigger?

The file always the same size and same name. Must be like a preformatted little database. The DR-880 can store about 30 EZ Composed 12 bar blues songs . then you get the memory full error :-(

Thanks for the reply and that's a relief. It seemed weird and because I'm not using the MIDI I worried I was doing it wrong.
The Memory full error I thought was before the upgrade? Or maybe that was something else.
