lo peeps
I have just bought the sh201, i am very happy with it and i am now looking to buy an mc808 but wanted to know a few things first.
a. does it integrate with cubase sx3 in a similar way to the sh201 or will it with future updates?
b. can you edit individual parts in a preset drumkit graphically like samples.?
c. how many tr808 kits?
d. are the drumkits of better quality than those of the mc909?
Thx.....
808 info req.
Re: 808 info req.
A. No, there is an editor, but no VSTi interface. Update? Only Roland Japan know.
B. You can not directly edit what's in ROM, but you can resample them into RAM and then do what you want.
C. There are about 20 sounds on the original TR-808, they fit in one kit. But look in the manual -> sound list, there should be at least several variations just like it was on the MC-909. BTW, you can get all TR-808 sounds raw at http://rolandclan.info/en/archives/.
