Hello, gang.
Had a nightmare getting it - but I finally have an MC-808 to replace my MC-909 that I had to sell - hooray for me!
There is a question that I have in reference to the motorized faders, though:
When switching from one pre-installed pattern to the next, the faders move per the settings within that pattern; however, they do not "snap" to their position.
Don't get me wrong - they get to their rightful place, but they are shaky when moving from one setting to the next. If you were to close your eyes and listen to the fader move between patterns, it almost sounds like a plastic ball bouncing on a counter top - but from a short distance (meaning the plastic ball would be "bounced" from a couple of inches above the counter top).
Sorry if this doesn't make any sense - as I am trying to figure the best way to ask the question.
FWIW - I did a search, but didn't see anything about this. Forgive me if I overlooked a similar topic.
Other than that - I am digging the unit. There are a couple of things that I miss from the MC-909, but I can get used to this unit.
Thanks & take care.
Shaky Motorized Faders
Re: Shaky Motorized Faders
that's a feature, not a bug
faders "look" for their position, and some of them miss the sweet spot, so they're correcting themselves quickly, hence that bouncing effect

Re: Shaky Motorized Faders
So this is something that happens with all of the units?
Ok.
It was just that when I had my Digi002, those faders were motorized too, but they snapped to position - my ongoing joke with some buddies was to watch their fingers, otherwise .. the 002'll break 'em off!
Thank you for your reply.

Re: Shaky Motorized Faders
Digi002 is a professional unit as opposed to a budget approach taken to 808. Hence the difference.
