The MC808's here!!!

Post by DLAMusic »

WOOOOOOOOOOOAH!

Really impressed so far. The sounds on their own are pretty damn fine and some of the patterns are excellent.

It's sooo good I've dug out the box for my Roland JP8000 and am currently debating putting that on eBay with the MC303.

Just want to know if the MC808 has a "sound module" mode like the MC303 had and if so do the controllers and effects still function in that mode as I will be using the unit as a sound source in Cubase and the microKorg as a controller keyboard?

Is it analogue modelling on here? I thought they were samples before buying but from what I've heard it's too diverse to be PCM.

Ta!

Hi!

Its all sampling :-)

To use it as a sound module just install the drivers and p.ug in the usb cable and set the usb mode to midi. Now you got 16 midi channels for the mc-808 with all effects working.

If you use a pc you should download my librarian and import the juno-g tweakbook sounds from artemio into the mc-808. These sounds are really superb!

Ciao, Dirk.

Thanks again, Dirk.

Quite impressive for samples then.

I take it I can use the MC808 in the same way via standard MIDI cables only I want it in sync with my Emu 0404USB soundcards MIDI and the microKORG?

Any links to this librarian??
