How I update my Varios (version 1.00? to 1.07)

I can't find it in the manual!
How I check my Varios version?
Are there "hidden" menu's?

It's a task most people only do once so we've all forgotten how. There's plenty of instructions around for upgrading to 1.07 etc... as far as I can tell and have seen from my own fiddling the system will just copy the version it's given. It literally just copies the whole thing to memory replacing whatever was their previously.
