Hi there,
I'm trying to set up my VariOS to work as a MIDI slave to Cubase but i'm not having much luck.
The manual that came with it is stupidly outdated, it's got a guide for setting up the midi sync in Cubase VST! lol
Anyone with any insight i would greatly appreciate it.
I'm going to upgrade the V-Producer software to V3 and i'm also going to update the VariOS firmware to V1.7. I might have better luck after that but who knows.
Also i'm using an M-Audio Radium 61 as my main controller. It is hooked up via USB as is the VariOS. Is this an issue?
Cheers.
Kang.
VariOS & Cubase SX3 Midi setup...
Re: VariOS & Cubase SX3 Midi setup...
It's been a while since I set up Cubase (I use Tracktion 2 now.)
I found a simple way was to add a midi track outputting to the VariOS midi SYNC track. Don't send midi notes here - it's just a sync track.
I think MTC is best to send to the VariOS as it will track back and forth along with cubase. Rather than just stop start messages.
V Producer 2.5 is more stable than V Producer 3 but three has a better arp.
On the M-Audio Radium I think you'll find you've picked exactly the right keyboard - go to the roland site and down load the maps for using the Radium with the VariOS
Cheers
