PG1000 Programmer

Post by EricM »

After having played with one, I have been thinking of getting a V-Synth. I am also a huge fan of the D-50 so the VC-1 card will be a definite buy for me.
However I had a quick question, and I searched the forums and couldn't find a definitive answer. Is the old PG1000 Programmer compatible with the VC-1?

Thanks

I just did a write up on the V-Synth XT and while I was doing the review for the VC1 card that comes in the machine I had the same question, I happen to own a D-50 and a PG-1000 programmer, so I hooked the PG-1000 up to the V-SynthXT and gave it a try. It works great, when you are in the D-50 edit mode on the VSynth XT and move the various sliders on the PG-1000 you can see it controlling the various parameters on the vsynth. I had not read anywhere before of someone doing this, in fact whan I called Rolands tech support guys who work with the VSynth and told them about the PG-1000 and the VC1 card they were surprized. I guess they figured not to many Vsynth owner had PG-1000 programmers laying around and just never tried it. If your used to programming with the PG-1000 your gonna love programming the VC1 card that way too.

Hello i have a roland variOs and a little keyboard to play it.

I am thinking to buy the pg1000 , but i have one question.

Could I connect my variOs , keyboard and pg1000 all together ?

Because if i connect my keyboard to the Roland VariOs i use the only port midi , then how i could connect the pg1000?

Thank you and a greeting
