Robinez's Cubase Panel - Cubase SE?

Post by beatrunner »

hi all

thousand thanks to robinez to solve my "new problems"....

I was wondering yesterday evening that cubase does not record my OSC-Knob-Tweaking cause they does not send midi message.... Am I right?

question from a Cubase SE user: does the robinez-panel works with cubase SE version? I'm not that lucky to own one of the newest Cubase editions.

thanks

SYSX filtered..

Hi beatrunner !

All Knobs on the V send SysX-Messages. By Default theses Messages are filtered. Look in your Midi-Settings and
switch sysx-filtering off.

I hope that helps you.

nice greets from austria.

johnny: ja da könnte man sich ja auch auf deutsch unterhalten. sei gegrüsst, nachbar :-) (schweiz).

but it's not kind to the rest of the v-community to speak in our secret language :-)

do you mean the midi settings in cubase or in "v"?

do you know if the mentioned cubase panel works in cubase se? or can i record knob-tweaking realtime in cubase midi channel after check my midi settings?

servus :-)

beatrunner: ja a schweizer! *hihi. ebenfalls a griazi in die schwiz!

i meant in cubase (no matter if se, sl, sx, vst)
There is a settings-menu for midi (MIDI-Preferences / Filter) where you can find some check-boxes for the different midi-commands that can be transmitted or received.
By default the check box "System Exclusive" (SysX) is checked. Uncheck it and you can receive/send the knob-movements.

Since SysX is not as easy as normal Control-Messages
it is very difficult to change (redraw, quantize,..) e.g. a COSM1-Knob Movement. Recording and Sending is no problem.

My favourite style is pop and rock. But i also listen to jazz, progressive rock (jordan rudess!!!!), metal, drum'n'base, trance.

You can listen to some of my recently made tracks here:
http://service.gmx.net/mc/kspqkjZFm35jY ... obhRSVbTUt

(Vocals are from different great singer from innsbruck and vienna, drums on "Believe" by a mate of mine.
Songs, Lyrics, Recording, Mixing, Keyboard, Guitar, ...
by myself)
(Solo at the end of "Never Mind" made with my vsynth and recorded in one step)

I don't use SysX cause' i programm the timetrip-pad, control-knob 1 and 2 and the d-beams. And thats more i need to
get the sound alive (mostly with filter-cutoff, filter-resonance
and shaper-parameter). Then i have my midi-control-messages and can easily adapt them by redrawing,....

Sorry to inform you, that only cubase sx3 supports midi devices. therefor it's not possible to use the map in se or sl3.
