V-Synth/MS2000BR/PhotonX25 MIDI issues

Post by Kollaps »

I been having a really big issue trying to hook up all of these pieces together so that I might play the MS2000BR from the V-Synth or the PhotonX25 and likewise control the V-Synth via the PhotonX25. However, after trying what seems like every possible connection over the course of the past 3 days and several hours, I just can't seem to get all these pieces working in such a way. I can get audio the MS from the V-Synth, but not get MIDI to transmit through to the Photon so I can play the MS through the MIDI editor in Cubase. When this is my set up, I can play the V-Synth from the Photon, but not the MS from the Photon. Anyone have any ideas what I'm doing wrong? I've been spending all my time trying to figure out different configurations without success, which really sucks since I used to not have issues getting the V-Synth, MS, and my USB Audiophile to communicate to one another on my desktop system. :(

Thanks in advance

first answer this,
does that keybed feel as good as the v-synth? theres no aftertouch so how are you feeling about the patches that use aftertouch. and lastly doeas the Axyz Controller Dome with 3D control perameters like the d beams?

No, it doesn't feel anywhere near the same as the V-Synth, and although the AXYZ controller works, it's more gimmick than anything. But, because I use it to control my soft synths and my room is anything but ergonomically set up for music making, I figured it would be useful to be able to control both hardware pieces and software pieces fromt eh Photon. However, if there's a way to use the D-Beam and TTP to control say, the filter in Absynth, if you can explain how I could do that, I'M THERE!

This has just turned into such a nightmare trying all the different little configurations as changing whether one function is on or off could determine whether or not it works properly or not. :(
