Hey Art

Post by c0pasetik »

I tried what you suggested about the click prob and it difnitely worked for getting the click out of the attack. However, when a key is released, I'm getting a click. On my old SE1x, even when I decreased release, I wouldn't get he abrupt stopping click when I let go the key. The only way to knock it ou on v-synth I find, is to push the TVA button ofter setting impact to 0 - then the after click is gone - Unfortunately, as soon as you hit the TVA button overall volume is decreased - I guess because of the
default TVA settings??? however, When I hit TVA to make up for this loss in volume, the default appeared to be fine, so I can't explain this loss in volume when TVA is pressed - Please get back to me with your thoughts - also, has anyone purchased V-synth soundbanks/waveforms from this site: http://uk.geocities.com/studioosound/vsynth.htm......

on the site, it says that "All sample sets are suppllied in Roland Vp format as waveforms and recorded at 24 bit"

is it possible to somehow add waveforms to the analog synth part of V-synth? On sonicstate, in the reviews, I keep noticing that people or saying the factory waveforms suck, and that one should add his/her own waveforms - IS THIS POSSIBLE! - I know samples can be imported and used, but this, I don't know about - Also, is their any application that will allow me to record straight into Roland's proprietary VP format, besides sampling directly into v-synth? - Or is their some kind of wav to Roland VP converter for PC/MAC? - Lastly, Does VP stand for Variphrase? - I'd appreciate your responses. P.S. - Hey, check this out - www.samplerobot.com

Set the velocity curve to zero (none).

1. You should always have the TVA unit switched on. This will give you much more level control options and make sure that your patches will be well-balanced. If you want to compensate the loss of level, simply increase the Wave Gain parameter of the OSC(s).

2. As of the waves, the ones in 2.0 are really great and can be used for many purposes, there are good basic waves, cool loops and acoustic instruments, plus a lot of nice drum/percussion waves. 1.0 set was less exciting, but it was good too, you just have to learn how to tweak the hell out of each bit of them.

3. No, you can't load any VA waveforms, only samples. I do not think V-Synth lacks any VA waves - which one are you missing? In any way, with COSM wave shapers, SBF, comb filter and such you can create very interesting new waves.
