VC-1 can it be copied?

Post by Mole »

Just a very naughty question
Does anyone know if the Vcards can be copied onto another pc-card
Probably not, but I'm just wondering because the manual states that files can be deleted by accident from the card................

Theoretically, you can infringe the Roland copyrights and make a binary image of the card and then copy it on another PC card. But as I know, this won't work because these VC cards check themselves somehow.

I've already tried for backup purposes (honestly ... I have nothing but contempt for people who distribute pirated software) and it appears to be protected somehow. The binary files can be copied to another card but this card will not boot.
