Thanks Jim for some hope! I got the Varios and would like another card beside the VC-1.. Xmas is on Jan the 18th 2007 Ha! Dispair is gone now there is Hope!

Perhaps the VC2 is going to be updated and released on the 18th and a VC 3? Or a combined VC1 & 2 card.

Hi Folks, this is my first post. I'm shortly to acquire a mint original v-synth but guess what, no VC-2 card !!! which I really want.
I was almost giving up hope finding one when I discovered this place, in France. They claim to have actually physical stock, plenty in fact. The saleslady actually went and personally checked. Of course I've ordered mine, BUT I don't want to get people hopes up, but I've paid for it and it's shipping NOW, so let's hope and pray!

I don't know if it's permissable to paste the link here, but, given this card's scarcity it seems too good an opportunity to miss. I don't endorse the company, In fact I live in the UK and this will be my first purchase from them.
They accept international orders which is cool.

yeah I'm still seeing vc2 cards fetch 450 plus on ebAy.

returned my varios over 2 weeks ago because it wouldn't run the 303 or jupiter 8 virtual synths. musicians friend still hadn't sent a rwplacement so I cancelled the order today. decided to get a vsynth instead.

First time poster here..

Im about to get my v-synth and have been looking for a VC-2 myself. I work for Guitar Center and my Roland rep thinks he can get his hands on a a few of these. So i will post here again if i have any luck on this. Any case anyone still needs them.

Doh! I just bought a V-Synth mainly because of the VC2 option and didn't realize it's been discontinued. WTF? I could have just bought a used XT for the same price!

Hi Jim,

it was a pleasure seeing your V-Synth demo, it helped me decide buying a V-Synth XT.

I wanted to use it with my Fender Stratocaster as an "analog guitar processor" as it is advertized on the net.

I connected the guitar to the front 1/4" input, I selected the Hi Z, but to my frustration I couldn't get any sounds out of the V-Synth XT. Tried the Menu settings I/O, etc, nothing...

I tried to find any help in the User Manual, no luck.

Could you please help me get step by step instructions on how can I use my guitar processed through the V-Synth XT?

you need to end a MIDI triggernote to the XT so it can process the incoming sound thru the synthsection.
If you have a keyboard connected you could simply play a key and hold tzhe sustainpedal or send a very long note from your sequencer.

I've since acquired V-Synth XT and can say I'm quite happy with it ... Might be selling V-Synth 2.0 but will DEFINITELY keep the XT ...

While we're on the subject of Rolands ... Can't help but share this latest addition to my setup ...
