Trigger samples on v-synth

Post by zetlike »

Hello "V- guys" ,i ve start to play in a rock band with my v-synth!
I use a lot my synth, for analog sounds,etc,etc...,and trigger some "sample phrases/fxs,etc" on diferent zones from the keyboard,...but i have a big problem ,and i hope some one here know how to help me(please MR. ARTEMIO...)
I want trigger the samples in my synth, but i want the samples, play alone after i trigger they, like a"freeze" funtion because i needed my left hand for doing other things, and i dont want "spend" one left hand pushing the key of the keyboard...grrrrrrrrr!
Im allready go crazy messing my manual, but the v-synth only has(one-shot/loop/alternating loop) functions, and no "stay loop playing /freeze loop, etc etc etc) like Akai digital samplers...
What can i do???? Please help me!
Thants a lot,and sorry about my english :)

The only option I see is using the hold pedal, but then if you use zones, as I know, the hold pedal will hold all zones. You could also use the arpeggiator, but again it works for all zones. I think it would only be possible on the new GT, since it has two independent patches.

the only solution I see should use a "toogle" midi controller.
I personaly use my RM1X in conjunction with the v synth for such process and in fact it works great 'cause the v synth is the master.

The settings is the following :
midi channel 1== v-synth 's keyboard with leads and pads,...
midi channel 2->10== RM1X, with drums
all sound comes from v synth exclusively. I only use the last 6 for basses and other sounds effect (which eat polyphony)
...
and it's perfect for that kind of use and much more versatile.

The "key hold" function was intended for this (and also for use with the external input and effects processing). Unfortunately it didn't quite get implemented right - it should have been per patch but instead was an all or nothing thing available from the pull-down menu. Does that help at all?

Last time I looked the feature hadn't made it to the GT.
