I wonder if someone can help me with a strange problem.
When I play my Korg TR-88 and V-synth together via MIDI, the V-synth does everything I want it to do. I set the V-synths clock to external to synchronize it to the Korg's clock and everything is dandy.
The problem arises when I try to use Cubase LE and/or any of the Arturia's VSTs I have on my PC. The moment I start Cubase and/or Analog Factory or Jupiter V, the V-synth stops responding to midi clock from the Korg. Any patch on the V-synth that uses external sync stops responding. The arpeggio patches (e.g. 140 Werk in Prog) go completely dead, whereas patches with sampled loops (e.g. 001 Da V Code) only play a flat tone. Patches such as winds (e.g. 439 Alto Sax) sound OK.
If I close the PC and turn the Korg off and then on again, the V-Synth resumes normal functions, until I reload Cubase and/or the VSTs and the problem returns.
I have the PC set up so that the Korg triggers the VSTs. So basically, as long as I don't use the VST's, I can play the V-synth. If I want to play the VSTs, I can't use the V-synth.

Odd, isn't it?
I run all my audio through an Alesis MultiMix USB mixer, which doubles as a sound card for the PC (Running Windows XP) via USB cable.
Does anyone have any idea as to what is causing my problem?
Settings on the PC?
Connection?
My Korg is connected to the PC with a USB cable and the V-synth's midi in is connected to the Korg's midi out.
The V-synth to PC USB connection seems to be irrelevant to the problem, as unplugging the V-synth to PC USB connection doesn't change anything of the above.
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.
Regards, Milo
