Another thing which has perplexed me while reading the manual...
page 28 - Structure Type
No structure type is listed allowing one core to run vocal designer, with the other core running Variphrase...
...even with Variphrase using one single oscillator.
Tell me I'm not foolish for assuming dual-core meant users would be able to run:
1. 4 Variphrase oscillator simeltaneously (2 on each core)
2. Vocal Designer and 2 Variphrase oscillator simeltaneously
Maybe the manual is not completed?
Vocal Designer able to run alongside Variphrase oscillators?
Re: Vocal Designer able to run alongside Variphrase oscillat
My understanding is that the GT is literally two separate Vs in one box - this means that you can have one running Vocal designer and the other, well anything you want, execpt vocal designer. So yes, it'll do this, but;
"No structure type is listed allowing one core to run vocal designer, with the other core running Variphrase...
...even with Variphrase using one single oscillator."
And this is my problem with the GT, the structures between the two Vs are not talking to each other, hence as I said in my first paragraph, it is 'just' two Vs in one box with no further intergration between the two cores. Hence;
"1. 4 Variphrase oscillator simeltaneously (2 on each core)" yes that's correct, but no new ways to shape sounds - it's exactly the same architecture as on the original V - 2 oscs on each core with no interaction between the two.
"2. Vocal Designer and 2 Variphrase oscillator simeltaneously" - yes, as discussed above, but no interaction between them.
Therefore, apart from AP synthesis (which the jury's out on), there are NO new ways to create sounds.
