MC 909 Ground Pin

Post by supermel74 »

When I bought my MC 909, there was no ground pin on the back. I thought it had broken off, but now I hear this is a Roland design for a complete isolation circuit. Is this true? Thanks.

Come on guys, it's an easy question. Let me rephrase. When you bought your Roland MC 909, did it have a ground pin on the back or a hole where you would expect to see a ground pin?

I wanted to answer your question, but I haven't seen the ground pin on too many Roland gear. If remember right I've seen it on units which have hard drives inside.

OK, so I'm guessing that it is true then. Thank you.

I had mine for 5 years and never used it (just sold it on ebay) Do you have HUM/BUZZ problems? I thought it was for a POSSIBLE electric charge issue (minor shock when you touch it)......which in my case never happened either.AAAAHHHH...just looked at manual page 15! It's for the SHOCK THING...but using it MAY induce a BUZZ...:)

It's just a screw that you loosen and attatch a ground too.

I've not had any hum or grounding issues though, so I haven't used it.
