Working within should be a lot like working on the MC-505 and JV-1080 to which I am accustomed so here's to crossing my fingers and waiting for the manual to be finalized and put on-line.

This is strange to me....... I wonder how deep into the synth do you want to go, that you need a computer to get there on the 909.. That thing, I think, was borderline genius........ All the knobs and switches you need to tweak the synth, right there on top.. for all four synth parts. Then you have the tone select buttons, right there.
The only thing I would've changed about the 909, is I would have put the keys in two rows, instead of one that spans the width of the machine.... And I would have some kind of management function, where I can group an unlimited number of patterns......
Of Course.... like on all the XVs, I'd have more insert effects...
