How about a newbie's section??

Post by saxgal58 »

Hi Guys.....
Just loving this board!!.....learnt a huge amount in only a few weeks....BUT - notice some folks get irritated with newbie questions, especially ones that aren't addressed in the FAQ - or we still fail to 'get it' even after reading the 250 page manual over and over, as well as trying to have a discussion with tech support in non-jargon - or getting a 1-line response "page 43"!
Be nice to have somewhere to post while waiting for our internal lightbulbs to go on! - without detracting from more serious tech questions.
Would make it easier for the busier members to skip our posts too.
(BTW - I just suggested this in another section.....then found this one, sorry!!.....see, I'm tech-challenged!! LOL!!).

Thanks,
Julie

This is not the first time we answer this question, and I'll answer again ;-)

We used to have a newbies section here. But the problem is that the line between "newbie" and "serious" question is virtually invisible, and basically the two sections end up having the same type of questions, if not even double-posts. So it really makes no sense now.
