You da Man Art

Post by shakil »

Artemio:

You deserve it man!! Congratulations on this recognition of your efforts and hard work. We all appreciate what you are doing and how you share your deep creativity.

Also, thanks to Roland for taking this step. Now let's keep in touch and do things together.

--------------------
Remember that there are only 3 MFX + 1 Reverb + 1 Chorus in Fantom-S/X and you have to share them across 16 parts (patches) in a song.

Congrats, Art! it's all up to your creativity and "love to life" as you named it. It must be just a start, good luck.

Oh my God! So many congratulations!!! ;-)

Thanks very much everybody. I just don't know what to say...

Again and again I want to tell you that I am very, very happy to be the creator of our community, I really enjoy giving some part of myself to this site and to you all.

The fact that Roland Corp. Japan acknowledged and recognised our community and me in person is truly amazing - and, although it has been long-awaited, it is very surprising, still unexpected. It has been and it will always be an amazingly great honour for me. And no, this is not only my merit - but ours, altogether. Without you, my dear members, this would have been just a tiny site with some little of info... But as I got so much positive feedback and so much help and support from you - look what we are, look where we are! This is fantastic!

All this also influenced many other people to look at me with interest and some respect too: you won't believe it, but three days ago the head of Roland Ukraine called me personally and aksed me to take part in the Ukrainian Music Fest 2004 (the biggest music exhibition in Ukraine, lasts for 3 days - 9-11 Sept.) - not as a visitor, but as a demo person for Roland Fantom-X series and the V-Synth (they will have around 140 sq. meters of space with Roland gear). Additionally, Roland's European demo team will also be there, and Roland UA wants me to take part in playing my music on the stage too - so maybe I will play 1-2 tunes of mine out there ;-). They also told me that in Ukraine, noone probably knows these boards better than me ;-)

...I guess you understand how crazy it all feels for me. Anyway, I am not sure if I will be really able to take an active part in that exhibition, but at least I am so damn honoured for such a proposal! ;-)

And yes, there's also one thing. Soon I will start a user community site for the V-Synth users... ;-) As with this site sta the very start, it will have a little more than info on this synth and a forum. It will be somewhat like a sub-division of Fantomized - and it will be based on the sane friendly approach.

A thousand thanks to you all again.

Yours,
Artemio.

That's super, Artemio!! Very glad to hear that you will be representing Roland and all of us here in the forum for your country!

Hmm... So you'll be demonstrating the Fantom-X and the V-Synth you say? Hmm... it would be rather hard to demo instruments you don't have or have rarely ever used, unless perhaps, NOW you do have them. ;-) I think I'm getting the picture now my friend. Did Roland, in fact, honor you in a manor befitting a kind person like yourself?

Anyway, that's very very good news buddy. I'm sure you'll impress everyone with your demos.

Thanks Nathan!

Those Roland UA guys also told me that they can create posters for Fantomized.info and hang several everywhere in the Roland booth! ;-)

Yes, I never touched a Fantom-X, but I don't think it's that different compared to the S.

Also, I do now have a V-Synth in my studio (http://elite.artemio.net/getfile.php?fi ... ynth_1.jpg) - although it is not mine, I will have an ability to play it for some time, and I am learning this beast pretty fast.

That's very cool Artemio! Yes, from what I've heard of the Fantom-S, there is essentially no difference between it and the Fantom-X as far as user interface and functions go.

I'm sure you'll pick up that V-Synth programming in a day or two. :-D

Nathan: yes, I am already tweaking it inside out - and it is damn easy to learn. This thing is simply fantastic - so many things have been introduced that haven't ever been available in any other synth - like the time trip / waveform freeze, as well as side band filters, and the darned 303 filter that takes me awwwwaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyy!!!! ;-)

V-Synth is a revolution!

Yes, there will be a dedicated site for the V-Synth community - it will be much smaller than this one of course, but it will grow (hopefully).

Also, I will post some V-Synth tweaks at ArtemioLabs somewhere closer to next week.

You must be soo excited, demoing the Fantom X and V-Synth.Wow!Brilliant.The V-Synth is amazing.I bought mine 2 months ago.It is a fantastic feeling to be recognised by the big companys.I too know the feeling.Korg gave me the Karma 2 years ago because I used their Triton on TV.Also I was interviewed in Future Music. They displayed several colour pages of my synth collection.I received a personal letter from the boss of Korg from Japan.I also had 2 letters from Mr.Kakehashi boss of Roland Japan in the past.He is a very kind man.He even sent me his autobiography.Do you know him?I wish you all the best for your endavour with Roland.

Music keeps me sane in an insane world
