music style
Anyone using the G for contemporary christian music? Tomlin, Brewster, etc?
Re: music style
Hi! I am from Hungary. I am a member of a youth community that is based on a local Catholic parish. This community consists of about 30 people and we have our band for music service. I play keyboards and percussion. Apart from my Juno-G I use only a Yamaha home keyboard (PSR-225GM) mostly for MIDI control that was already in use in the community when I joined.
Because we don't play for much people, we go pretty much unplugged. We don't have a drummer, I play a pair of bongos, a tambourine and triangle, when I have free hands. Our whole music is mostly based on acoustic guitars, with flute, oboe, violin, recorder parts. These all sound without amplification. The Juno goes on a small amp.
The Hungarian songs we play are similar to the ones you mentioned, only without the "stadium rock" feel that is in Tomlin and Brewster videos I've just watched. I can give you Youtube links if you like, but it's not us playing.
On the Juno I use mostly acoustic sounds like pianos, strings, additional oboe and violin parts. Also organs, pads etc. I play all the bass too, there is no bassist. Sometimes I over-arranged myself so I also trigger percussion sounds from the keyboard when I don't have enough hands :)
Sorry for writing so much. Any questions? :)

Re: music style
Might be cool to hear/see.
Was trying to get an idea of how peoe handled the pad and arppegiation sounds in the background.
Keep playing for Him. ;)

What arpeggiations? Gimme an example.
Anyway, I just found a video on YouTube that has a mobile-device audio recording of us playing (accompanying some pictures of the community). Unfortunately there are only my percussion "solos" in there and no keyboard playing, so I guess that doesn't interest you.
I can give you two audio examples that were recorded in an old church so it's awfully reverberated.
This one has my piano solo in it: https://docs.google.com/leaf?id=0B3okk3 ... ist&num=50
And this one is the Hungarian version of Brother Sun Sister Moon with harp and strings patches: https://docs.google.com/leaf?id=0B3okk3 ... ist&num=50
The problem is that these were done before I got the Juno. I played a Roland E-36 and the Yamaha I mentioned. Although I play the same things on the Juno, only it sounds better :)
So, what arpeggiations?
