Artemiy I WANT YOUR TWEAKBOOK! :-)

Post by Yuzo »

Hi Artemiy,

finally i decided to buy your Fantom Tweakbook. I own a Juno-G and only did sound editing on some VAs like Waldorf Blofeld (subtractive synth) before.

I loved it. Do you think I get into sound programming on Juno-G?

Anyway, i want to get it over your webpage so no 3rd party gets money accept you. :)

I have no credit card and want to pay with "PayPal". Is that possible?

cheers from Germany

Yuzo, I am very sorry I missed your post yesterday! I just moved to a new apartment and have no broadband connection set up yet, seeing all this via my mobile so I may miss something.

Anyways, thank you very much for your purchase! Yes, you will surely enjoy the Planets and of course the Tweakbook. In fact, when you learn how much your Juno-G can do, it will help you save a lot of money - you will understand that you do not need much new gear, everything is possible if you learn your little Roland! Enjoy.

Thanks for your reply Artemiy! The Tweakbook is very well written und much understandable. Great work.

I have one more question: I have the "Analog Essentials" SRX-Board installed in my Juno-G. I think it's better to use the SRX standard waveforms (like saw, square) instead of the internals for your tweakbook tutorials. I am right or what is your opinion about the SRX-98?

Can I also get better sounding patches out of your Planetpacks if I change some of the standard waveforms with the Analog Essential ones? Or are they only usable from scratch?

Thanks a lot!

I haven't ever tried the SRX-98, however, I do believe it's analog waveforms may have a little more detail compared to the built-in ones, but not by a big margin. Good for you anyway since you will have more different choices.

You can't say "better" because each patch is designed specifically with certain waveforms which make the patch sound as it does. You will simply get a more or less different sound if you change a waveform to it's variant in the SRX-98 board.
